Definitely find a buffet. The one we did at Rio was insane.

Heres my general tips:

Gambling: If you have a huge budget gamble at the best places. But, for most you want to gamble downtown. Better odds for lower limits. You can get regular BJ for $10 downtown. On the strip youll need to play at least $25 a hand.

Video poker has terrible odds on the strip. There isnt a full pay JoB machine on the strip for 25c, DT is full of them.

Food: Tons of choices for all budgets. Too many to list but Ive hit almost every Steakhouse and BLT Steak at Ballys is the best bang for your buck.

Drinks: Stagedoor casino, best deal in town, right off the strip.

The best steakhouse that i've had in Vegas is Fix at the Bellagio. It's expensive but it's damn worth it.

The best no matter the price Ive had is SW at the Wynn.

But, I honestly cant say their steak is any better than BLT, just everything else.

That's bogus, there are plenty of places on the strip for $10 blackjack hands and a few places even have $5 hands. Also the odds are no different between downtown and the strip, it's simply easier to find cheaper tables downtown. But again they also exist on the strip.

I haven't eaten at SW, though from looking at the menu just now, price wise they look about the same as Fix. I may have to check it out next time we go out there.

If you want to see a show hit up one of the many "side alley" ticket booths a few hours before it starts, you'll get nice discounts as they're trying to fill in. They're all over the strip.

The Wynn buffet is godly but expensive

Yes, very good advice. With any game. If you're sitting down and playing, you're drinking for free. Take advantage. I had like 5 hours worth of free drinks the one night.

We've heard we had to try the Bacchanal brunch buffet at Caesar's and Le Cirque at Bellagio, so we'll try those. Aside from that, we got Penn & Teller and Stratosphere lined up. Any other recommendations?
