The competitiveness of the fighting game community always intrigued me. I was wondering which fighting game would be worth picking up to play against people online and learn how to play and stuff. Ive never really played any recent fighting games, and Im the past only casually played them

If you dont want to get into the Smash Bros. style scene and are looking for a way to break into the more traditional fighters,
Pocket Rumble and Fantasy Strike are both great for a true entry level, both have simple controls and smaller roster sizes, great for someone looking to take a crack at a genre with a notoriously steep learning curve. (Fantasy Strike is still in early access) If you'd rather just dive in with both feet, SFV and Dragon Ball Fighterz are a good median entry point. I'd recommend staying away from anime fighters, Blaz Blue, Guilty Gear, etc. Until you've got some experience under your belt. --- move all remaining groundhog mercenaries to the front lines. Have sheep troopers squadrons A and B flank the cows. They're using DC-17 hoof blasters. ... Copied to Clipboard!

Bump. Would having a 144hz GSync monitor give me an advantage? SFV is looking good so far

Bump. Would having a 144hz GSync monitor give me an advantage? SFV is looking good so far no because the frames are capped at 60 across fighting games. because of this you get frames that appear to be lost because of the extra 24 refreshes that would occur as opposed to having a 120hz monitor frame data is actually very important as well ... If you want to simulate being in the smash bros community without having to actually participate, eat nothing but potato chips and don't shower ever.
I love smash bros btw but I can't stand the competitive community because everyone tries to make the personalities more important than the game itself. Also the competitive videos on youtube always consist of two people shouting over each other trying to be clever like they're pretending to be John Madden or some shit. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!
