as successful as they are, Sony are pretty much scum in the videogame industry.

- The PS was supposed to be the SNES-Playstation first.
- The PS1 controller was the SNES controller with two extra buttons and handles
- They came up with the dual shock after seeing the N64'a analog stick and the Saturn's Nights controller
- The six axis controller was an attempt to cash into the Wiimote motion control craze
- The PS3 controller was going to be a damn boomerang (literally shaped like a boomerang), but once they saw the wiimote they went back to the drawing board and added six axis and other stuff

The PS Classic is just the last iteration of this sort of behavior


None of the controller stuff makes them sound bad, tbh. It just sounds like they looked at what was working and tried to emulate it. Besides, that Saturn controller was hot garbage, and I can't honestly say I ever liked the N64 controller.

I'd say the only real original or innovative thing that has come from Sony's PlayStation division for consoles would be supporting multimedia like CD's and DVD's. Maybe PSVR but I'm guessing they were seeing what the Rift was doing. Outside of that they're always following trends set by Nintendo or Microsoft. Sometimes they manage to capitalize on them in a better way.

Thank god they have some good developers under their belt.

Actually wait PS+ Games was pretty innovative. Same with PS Now even if it was pretty garbage.

I could literally run ePSXe back in the day on a PC with a 450MHz Pentium II, 128MB RAM and some generic 8MB GPU.

If that can run it, any modern computer can.

PCSX2 is a lot more demanding, but mid-range machines from 10 years ago were capable of running it fairly smoothly.

The point is they never emulate themselves, they wait for others to do it, then they steal the idea
