the best game of the decade.

Literally just fix the little stupid things like horses crashing into rocks and rag-dolling, (a horse is a living animal. its not going to do that unless it couldnt see it. it would go around.) the fucked up laws that only apply to you and the cops dont notice until you start winning, the omniscient lawmen, not being able to replay side missions and weapons sometimes unequipping when dismounting your horse.

Im not a big fan of Sadie but I know Im in the minority for that. So shes fine

imo it's one of those games that when you look at the whole package it is absolutely incredible, but many of the individual components are pretty mediocre (i.e. combat)

My biggest issue with the horses is that they take a huge fucking leap over the most unnecessary shit. Like if I'm walking through a field and there's a small rock in the way, more horse goes FLYING over it. Or if I'm in town and I try to maneuver around a wagon but get a little too close to a railing, my horse goes FLYING over the railing into a group of pedestrians. Last night I came upon a small stream. I tried to walk across it because it was tiny, but no my horse decided it needed to make a huge jump and faceplant on the other side, throwing me off.

it's tied with Bloodborne for being game of this gen, for me.

I really like stuff like God of War and Witcher 3, but RDR2 and Bloodborne just have something about them that really stand out, IMO.

I don't mind the horse thing, since I'm usually careful, but when I'm not, crashes are usually funny, IMO. the only real issues I have are: how slow it is walking in camps and how imprecise it is taking multiple items from drawers

edit: oh yea, and the bounty system. people said something about wearing different outfits and riding a different horse to get around some of that stuff, but I never tried it

But Rockstar holds itself back by trying to be an experience more than a game.

There's just too much jank with horse combat and animations. I don't remember any jank while playing GoW.

I prefer RDR2, but GoW is a better game imo and deserved goty.

I don't know about game of the decade. To stack it up against Dark Souls, Last of Us, Skyrim, Breath of the Wild, The Long Dark, Subnautica, Terraria, Mario Odyssey, The Witcher 3, Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate and World, Binding of Isaac, etc.

It's got some insanely stiff competition. This decade has been amazing for gaming
