i am not going out of my parents home which is mine too till i am 80

not sure as i am not an american to understand the logic behind it except that it may be that you are kicked out to become aware of harsh realities of the world and be on your own and be tough over all

There are definitely families that strictly enforce it but it's not common enough to be a tradition.

Yeah this. I don't really understand it myself but my family is all Caribbean so...

I guess that's why some folks put their parents in old people homes later on as payback? For being kicked out at 18?

This really isn't a "tradition" so much as a necessity for poor people. You don't see this in the middle class.

The problem is that society is broken.

The state where you live should be able to provide you with education. You go to to college, study, and then hang out at home.

Instead people from all over the county engage in a frantic college search and end scattered around the country instead. So you grew up in PA but you might end going to college in WA instead. So in effect you move out at 18.

Obviously by the time you graduate you look for a job. And once again your state should obviously be able to have jobs readily available for you, but it doesnt. So your job search will take you to a random rate and maybe you grew up in PA but went to college at WA but your job will be at IL. You de facto left your parents at 18
