It's something you have to buy once in a while. Get a good quality brand (Dell or (if you're a fan of the OS) Apple make pretty reliable products), get something mid-range rather than a cheap shitty one, and you'll help make it longer before you have to buy your next one.

Mhm my preferred brand is usually Asus. The ones I've gotten from them have usually kept together well. Heard good things about Dell too tho, their customer service is supposed to be great.

I've had good luck with laptops before. My current one has lasted me about 5 years.

They really are great. I had a Dell laptop once with the standard one-year warranty. Battery died after about two years (everything else still worked fine). I contacted them to find out how I could go about ordering a new one to replace it, and they just replaced it free of charge, despite being over a year out of warranty.

Also, out of all the laptops I've owned, the two that lasted the longest were also two of the three Dells I've owned. (The third Dell is my current one, which I've had for about a year now and it's showing no signs of problems whatsoever.)

Last few I got have been Lenovo. Theyre just for basic use and work so I dont need top level stats but for the price Lenovo tends to be great in comparison to other brands.
