In Melee they wouldn't even jump. They all use a diverse array of moves and movement now.

I forgot who it was - I think a Fire Emblem character - but they fucking annihilated me the first time I fought them. Juggled me around like a toy. I'm pretty sure I didn't land a hit.

The only saving grace that got me through all the challengers is that Kirby's fireball lunge and Down+B rock attack can catch the AI off guard.

Yeah, I was getting absolutely destroyed in that same fight for like a half hour before noticing how high its power was. Like I could hardly wrap my head around how badly I was getting my ass kicked.

I've never been great at it, and have never handled the highest difficulties, but I think the difficulty cap's been bumped up a bit for the competitive scene.

I bed they added predictive ai like the system used for amiibo fighter AI.

You just have to play in really odd ways to confuse it. The better you are the better it will get and you cant play mindgames or rely on humam fatigue to help win like against another human.

Its just random, Ill stomp four challengers in a row, then one guy will go ham despite having 160 damage and OHK you at 60 health somehow.

Fire emblem characters work well; they dont read the counter well. DK also works well for the lvl9+ characters in spirit adventure, if you do your running A attack and then down smash they seem to get hit frequently

I've been having a decent time using Little Mac in World of Light recently. Especially 1v1, where f-tilt and dash attack work wonders.

From what I've seen, you don't really need to wavedash in Ultimate since you can dash while keeping all your options open.
