I have a female friend on FB who already has a new boyfriend who claims they are very very much in love despite probably dating for 6 months now, and she just broke off a relationship of 5 years prior. What's worst is all her female friends are enabling her and celebrating with her. I'm judging hard from here. What's funny is this isn't the first time I had a female friend do this very thing where they broke off from a long relationship and a couple months later find someone and they get married.

women form strong platonic bonds with their friends, so the impact of losing a romantic relationship on their emotional intimacy needs is significantly reduced. men tend not to do this. they should.

Some people are wired that way, they think love is the same thing as companionship. I was friends with a girl whose husband ended a 5 year marriage and she gave herself no time to be sad and just wanted to be in a relationship right away. I'm not talking about having flings either, she was wanting to go from a first date right into lets move in together. I kept telling her she needed to allow herself the time to be sad but she just wanted to replace him.

The sad part is she found some poor guy to replace her ex husband with and apparently all she does is talk about her ex all the time and how he sucks. I guess some guys will do anything to get laid lol.
