Ive actually argued for a long time that it doesnt. The movie-verse gauntlet is a lot less powerful. Notice that reality resets every time Thanos leaves a world. Like the gauntlet has an area of effect. The first time Thanos makes a permanent universe changing event (the snap) then the gauntlet nearly self destructs.

Yes? Everyone knew what was going to happen at the end of 1. Everyone knows whats going to result of that ending in 2. The movies are about the buildups to those, about Thanos story and how the heroes achieve the impossible and stop the Mad Titan.

I never said that. But them going ahead and confirming the next set of movies immediately killed any kind of set up they built with infinity war. Of course we all knew they'd be saved, but it's different when the movie sets you up to believe they're in such a dire situation and then it's announced that they get follow up movies before the current situation is resolved.
