Warrior first to learn the ropes, then wizard all the way. Or just go for a wizard first if I'm feeling confident. Either way, I prefer wizards.

I find that wizards usually start a bit slow, but overtake warriors eventually (i.e. https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/LinearWarriorsQuadraticWizards). Morrowind is a good example of this (Alchemy and Enchantment are broken, as are some magic schools, but it takes a bit of effort to get there and overcome early weaknesses).

Depends on the game, I like both, but mostly warrior nowadays.

I usually avoided the Warrior type class in most games with action, because they were usually slow or boring compared to other classes like Sorceress in Diablo II
