That intro feels weirdly edited. That said, I still prefer it to the minute and a half version by far. The problem isn't its length, the problem is the jarring shift from the "theeee simmmmpsooooonnnnnnns" to the next part. The Office shortened its intro to a 7-8 second clip for some of its later episodes and that came out perfectly.
