One had climbed up on the top of the swings and was doing front flips off into the sand below. I asked him where he learned to do flips and he said on his bed at home. Brilliant! I exclaimed. I used to do flips on my bed as a kid too! He said I should be able to do it just as easily if I could do it on my bed. I was really excited because it looked so cool and my secret crush was there with several other kids from school. I climbed up with him and watched him one more time before my turn. People were hardly watching anymore, but she was. I jumped off and started to flip. BAM! I was on my back 10 feet below. The force had caused a big snot to shoot up in front of my face and then land smack on my left cheek. It took a second to fight gravity and wipe my face before anyone saw it. A few people who saw it started laughing, but most people missed it and were asking what happened before joining in on the fun. Lance, the flippy kid, told me I forgot to tuck my legs under to land right. I asked if he'd landed onhis back flipping on his bed. He said no. I was so embarrassed. My crush saw the whole thing.
