Distant_Rainbow 12/19/18 2:09:28 AM #52:	I don't get why people always say Manshep is 'boring' as if it's some kind of inside joke. It's literally the same dialogue and the same actions as Femshep. If it's about the delivery, still no. Meer does his job perfectly fine. Keeps his voice neutral and professional, which is what you'd expect considering his background as a decorated soldier. If anything, Hale's Femshep is a tad too emotional at times. You can complain it's flat, but it's not too bland or going so far as to ruin what he's saying. He's still capable of a decent sarcastic voice too IMO. The only case this argument would make sense is when you're pursuing the romance sidequests, because of course it makes sense to be emotional here. Manshep's lines during the romances are somewhat stony and therefore funny, so I'll concede that, but the romance dialogues aren't everything. He does get better at displaying emotions as the series progresses, though, so there's something in that. You could also chalk that up to character development in a way: In the beginning of the series he's all professional because he's working with people he's never seen before in his life(minus Kaidan, and even then it's implied they haven't been serving alongside each other for long). I think a lot if people gave up on Meer after ME1, and he's just kinda meh in that one. In particular, with Renegade options it seemed like he thought "louder" equalled "angrier". He was definitely better in 2, and I'd actually put his performance in 3 on part with Hale's. Still, I'll always appreciate one line of his in ME1: I'd been stringing Ashley and Liara along, and (for those who don't know) if you do that, eventually they show up at the same time and force you to choose between them.
