.Hack is a group of 4 games that form one story, starring the same main character.
Basically an MMO (.hack is not, though the setting is) has some sentient AI hurting people through the game, putting them in a coma.

Your character is reached to by a good AI that needs rescue, and given a special ability: Data Drain.
The visuals are cool, the music great, and the concept was neat!
The names are: .hack//Infection, .hack//Mutation, .hack//Outbreak, and .hack//Quarantine.

The time you have each day to take care of your farm can be a bit limiting. If you relax those time limits you feel less pressured.

That is, if youre trying to build a huge farm right out the gate with no help from sprinklers, upgraded tools or a co-op partner.

You dont need a mod at all.

Time passes by fairly quickly. A single day lasts less than 15 minutes, 10 minutes pass every 12 or so seconds, and you have to get to bed by 2am or else you'll pass out and lose some money, as well as having some missing energy the next day. So, a mod to extend/freeze time is recommended, like this one:

Have you ever done danger Mario setup in Paper Mario 64? I started by not upgrading HP then using Rip Cheato to boost BP and take away 5HP (so I'd have 5HP max) and 5FP and I've been dumping all my upgrades first into BP (I can always use a flower plus badge costs 3BP) then into FP till I get max. I'm at the flower fields now. It's surprisingly fun and doable.
