They really captured what Spiderman is really all about. It touches on the morals of being Spiderman, the impact of Spiderman, and my GOD was the art fucking off the charts. This movie is so goddamn stylish in the perfect way. Every frame could be its own wallpaper. They use so many different styles and types of movement. The humor was really good. The movie had a great balance of self awareness. Spiderman Noir not understanding the Rubiks Cube made me crack up.
It was basically like the perfect love letter to Spiderman. I loved that scene where all of the Spiderpeeps volunteered to stay behind, but the Peter Parker that gave up on being Spiderman did the most Spiderman thing of them all and actually stayed behind. I also like that Peter used his own Spiderman advice to fix his personal life. When OG Peter died, that actually got to me. Seeing all the flowers that were on the ground for him and seeing all the people who actually recognized him got me emotional. I loved the tragedy of Kingpin. He lost his family because he was a ruthless villain. In trying to get them back, he never learned that his evil was the reason they left, and saw that no matter what universe he's in, he still made the same mistake. The only thing I didn't really like was Miles gaining tons of skill and power within a really short amount of time. I also felt like his trigger that makes him motivated to be Spiderman wasn't really strong. Also, his cockiness was a little annoying. I think if his dad died in that explosion during the Kingpin fight, that would've been the perfect trigger. --- itt my post is the best ... Copied to Clipboard!

It wasn't skill that Miles gained, it was confidence.
Doesn't Spider-Man solely fight using his spidey sense and acrobatic skill? Add to that invisibility and shocking, then Miles would be pretty good for a rookie. --- "I'm an atheist too but still believe in hell. That's where you're headed pal." - Mr_Karate_II ... Copied to Clipboard!

It wasn't skill that Miles gained, it was confidence. Well whatever you wanna call it, I felt like that jump was too quick. It should've built way more gradually. I've thought about this recently. I think Peter Parker specifically is as good as he is because he's a genius. He has the crazy athleticism that he's a master of so he can apply his scientific mind to it. Hence making his own web shooters too. That's the cool thing about Spiderman fighting, he's really resourceful and understands his own movement well. --- itt my post is the best ... There's one thing I always wanted to understand with the Spider Man. Mind you I grow up watching Tobey's Spider Man but have Web Shooters always been a thing? I thought they could just project the web from their wrist or do the WS help with the efficiency?

Anyone can try them, but actual web swinging is only possible because of his heightened athletics. LightningAce11 posted... It wasn't skill that Miles gained, it was confidence. He also uses a lot of tech(because Peter is a bit below Stark in the engineering genius department), and at some point in the comics he develops his own style of martial arts after losing his spidey sense, and continues using it. ... Miles was pretty clearly resourceful even before he gained the confidence. All his scenes with Prowler demonstrate this.
He has the same level of instinct as Peter that is required before web slinging can be an even remotely viable tactic. It looked amateurish in the commercials but the style works well in the actual movie.
