Do you think that they should still be able to for example expunge their record if they do not commit another crime for 10 - 20 years?

Do you feel like the system for the most part doesn't allow that because they want it to keep it far more likely that you'll end up back in prison?

What are your thoughts?

I don't think that it needs to be fully removed from their record, but I think a lot of stuff that you're disqualified from by being a felon, like benefits and voting, are bullshit. We have prison for a reason. You serve your sentence, you shouldn't be farted back on the streets and further disadvantaged at every turn

I do. Especially on charges such as marijuana possession where its since become legal.

This as well. The current system just encourages recitivism as it can be impossible for released felons to get on track for a normal life that doesnt involve crime.

Correct, how are they rehabilitating anyone if even one non violent/sexual mistake can ruin their lives forever?
