so i know that kh2 is the far superior one, but some of these bosses in KH1 just suck. especially on proud mode where everything is just a sponge and kills you in 3 hits

The only hard boss in that game for me was Ursula. Oh, and theres one part near the end where you have to get through like 3 mini boss fights back to back before the final battle and theres no checkpoints/saves. That was annoying too

The only terrible boss was the Cave of Wonders lmao. Everything else is fine (maybe too easy in some cases).

Is this a meme? Phantom can easily be done by anybody without ever getting hit...

cast stop on the clock immediately. Have fire/blizzard/thunder on quick select. And then...you win immediately? If he shoots that one attack you can just hide on a different side of the clocktower and it can't hit you.

It's one of the easiest bosses in the game...

Yes you can.

The game put in a way to trivialize every fight in the game. Therefore it is easy. You can make it hard by handicapping yourself, but even then, now the only difficult fight is Sephiroth, because Unknown is still easy with Tinkerbell. So then you say "Well don't use tinkerbell".

And it's a slippery slope. If you ignore literally every good move in KH, it is an extremely challenging game. But the game, as it is made, is very very ez.

He is replaying the series finally in preparation for KH3 which is what I've been doing too.

I only have a hard time with trick master in riku's story for re:com. Can't get greedy with sleights. Literally the only boss fight where you don't get to safely sleight spam your way to victory.

My brother has been replaying, and kept losing to Captain Hook. He picked the sword and gave up shield to make it more challenging, so he dies in two hits. Eventually he said "fuck it" and just flew around off of the ship after he got Hook to his last healthbar. So he just avoided Hook when he jumped, then got two hits when he's floating about the deck. Took forever lol.

I ended up just beating halloween town then coming back to ursula

I also beat neverland, didnt have much trouble with hook (only died once cause i misjudged how much damage he would do)

I remember having a ton of trouble with shadow sora in neverland last time, but this time it was easy

KH1 in general wasn't really great. Good enough to put in several playthroughs on but weak against the rest of the series.

It has 5th gen syndrome super hard despite being a 6th gen game. Camera controls with the shoulder buttons. It has several bosses that are annoying as hell even if they're not that tough. There are multiple parts where the main challenge is trying to get through some dumbass trial and error maze. The final boss has--I don't even remember--like 11 stages even though they're almost all identical.
