There's a law in Korea that actually lets you put your spouse in jail for cheating. Unfortunately, divorce was also outlawed until just a decade or so ago.

I think cheating on a guy is worse and beating on a chick is worse.

Mostly because if a guy beats a woman, it's more likely to be more severe. Like, I'm never afraid of my wife beating me, unless she had a significant weapon and the element of surprise, but if I beat her I could put her in the hospital with my bare hands.

I would be more worried about her cheating on me.

You think a physical beating only physically hurts a person, but doesn't affect their psyche? You think that women who get beat just heal up and everything is fucking ok? Beatings leave emotional wounds too, except instead of crawling in your skin, they're also potentially lethal. It's not a fucking joke to put your hands on someone. Spousal abuse imprints on the offspring's genetic code.

I voted for beating , however if you cheat with someone with an STD , you can give it to your SO..which could do longer damage then a punch. Note this sounds really bad as I type it. This is a completely valid statement, but you neglected the part of getting dominated by your spouse in such a manner. You think emotions are an issue with being cheated on? Imagine what it's like with a simplistic mindset about male-female roles and you're being savaged by your wife all the time and you know it's wrong to hit a woman, while she's telling you what a worthless piece of shit you are.

That's what women who get beaten go through. To think that physical abuse is the start of it is so shortsighted. Battered wife syndrome is a thing for a reason. Physical abuse victims have their temple, their body assaulted along with their desires, their self-worth, their etc. etc. There's generally no physical abuse with cheating, but there's almost always manipulative emotional scars that accompany physical beatings.

Sorry. I've been drinking and I know you were being earnest, but you failed to recognize what accompanies physical abuse. I guess I'm using your post as a soapbox. I think abuse is reprehensible period. Cheating is generally done behind the person's back and 1 versus 100 times doesn't matter there because the fact that your spouse has been lying to you is the point. A physical beating isn't some hidden agenda that got revealed, it's that you got to worry about it not happening again and making you think you fucked up and etc. etc.
