Parents divorced before I was born and were very much working class. However my mom's career took off and my dad made an extremely good investment on a house and they are probably middle to upper middle but still working class at heart

lifestyle was middleclass, parents were very wealthy by any rational standard. both retired before 60, mom in early 50s

I grew up in the upper class, my dad was vice president of some massive reinsurance company in Manhattan and made about 380k a year. On my own, i'm currently in the middle class with no assistance from them, ever. I joined the military to assist with my college tuition and got a degree that way.

Working class, fairly poor but not in poverty. We always had clothes and never starved.

We certainly weren't rich, we never went on fancy vacations and things like that, but my parents nevertheless worked very hard to make sure my brother and I had the same things as most other kids in terms of games consoles and a home computer etc

My parents made decent money but were always unstable. At one year they were pushing 300k, but another barely 50k.
