I don't understand the tunnel system. "Hey, see this tunnel that it takes 5 minutes to elevator you down into? That's going to improve traffic somehow!"

And I for one don't see anything wrong with honeycombing a tunnel network under major population centers in a state known for earthquakes. No sirree.

I mean, the elevator technology is definitely gonna improve...his idea is good because it creates more room on the main surface roads. I guess best way to think of this is that it's still in alpha stages..

idk how safe it is though since i don't know enough about earthquakes to comment. I saw one video where he said that "earthquakes are safer underground" but I'm taking that w/ a grain of salt.

Also think it's funny that residents were complaining about his demo track saying "we didn't even know about it until it was almost done" like...you fucking morons...he was building a mile long track underground, digging a shit ton of dirt, and you didn't know until it was almost complete? How dense are they that they couldn't hear that shit...it isn't better call saul where they're secretly building an underground lab.

Well the idea is that it's for particularly long drives. It's a replacement for trains and short plane rides. Your car is parked on a moving sled in a vacuum tunnel and it moves at some sort of high speed like 200mph (I don't remember)
