Like Mars let's say one day we have the technology to be able to move planets with gigantic rockets. What would happen if we moved Mars into our habital zone near Earth. Would that change anything on the red planet? Or would it just remain the same?

How would that change anything for Mars other than make trips there take a shorter time? Would it magically gain a magnetic field or an atmosphere?

My thoughts exactly.

mars is probably already in a habitable zone for some form of organic life. highs on the planet reach 20C at the equator, and the lows are only as low as they are due to a lack of atmosphere

if it had atmosphere and liquid water on the surface, i would expect some life could exist there. obv not human life at that range though.

You would royally fuck up the orbit. Likely sending it right into us. Don't do it man.

Would probably fuck up the entire solar system

That

this is highly unlikely

the mass of mars is quite small and the space of the system quite large, on a relative basis

mars' gravitational pull is unlikely to impact any other celestial body in a meaningful way unless its orbit were specifically adjusted to impact another planet (in which case it would be the impact that would make the difference)

this would require intent and a careful plan using a resolution of the two body problem, and subject to a multitude of confounding factors.

realistically, what would happen is mars's orbit would be adjusted, but its habitability unchanged

Are Deimos and Phobos just SOL? lol

Just as good since their orbits are in decay
