I think you can start there. It can stand on its own, but you won't get a lot of the references to Trails in the Sky, which would probably lessen your appreciation of it somewhat.

Yeah. Falcom intended it to be an acceptable starting point for newcomers. As Leon says, you'll miss some references, but it stands on its own.

So I've been spending the past 2 weeks or so playing Hollow Knight. (RiP NieR playthrough...) I'm at the point where I could end the game soon if I wanted to I think, but there's still tons of optional content I plan on trying. Though I've heard some of it is...uh...hard, particularly the DLC stuff which came with the version of the game I bought.

Anyway game is very fun. Don't know if anyone here played it but yeah. Do recommend. The game controls very well and the fighting is intense/fun. Atmosphere is also great, and there's tons of exploration and lore and stuff like that to find for those that want to seek it out.

Anyway yeah I really liked Fie throughout all of CS1 and especially in the latter half. I don't know how many of her bonding events you did but I thought she had by far the best of the ones I watched.

Chapter 6 complete with 67 AP and a grade of A, and I'm 1 AP short of leveling up, augh.

I imagine that's not the last we've seen of C, considering we still don't know his real identity as of yet (MGS1 taught me that the explosion of an airborne vehicle is no problem for the main villain to survive, especially when he's still disguising himself as another member of the cast), although he did put up one heck of a fight. Toughest boss in the game so far for sure.

And that last scene with Claire all but confirms Sharon is a member of Ouroboros in my book. The "Severing Chains," is it? I do wonder who fired that shot though.

C is definitely the toughest boss IMO, fun fight though!

Also, having beaten Chapter 6, here's the Drama CD that XSEED translated that covers the stuff that Rean rudely skips over in his monologue: www.trailsofcoldsteel.com/cs2/memoirs1.html

The note there recommends beating CS1 but that's silly. It just covers the events in Ymir that Rean mentions in the "afterwards..." segment at the end of the chapter. The "Story II" linked on that page though is CS2's Drama CD so stay away from that for now.

Yep, I'm sure that was it. That 1 more point would've gotten me that level up, too. Oh well.

I'm guessing Chapter 7 is going to be the last one just based on the trophy list since there isn't another story chapter trophy after the next one. Plus, I'm getting close to the top rank in terms of AP and I know I'm not going to get that.

I mean, not "you won't understand stuff" important, but it covers things beyond Rean's summary, CS2 assumes they happened and characters refer to those events. Mainly it's the second half of it with Rean's explanation of what happened when his SSJ mode first appeared, Bleublanc showing up and formally introducing himself as Enforcer X to Class VII, and Rean achieving intermediate-rank in Eight Leaves One Blade

Class VII's, though mainly Rean's, placing of the utmost importance in the concert is - arguably - the silliest thing in the game and almost completely jarring at times. >_>

I... am not quite sure where you are again (man i say this a lot lately i am bad at this) but if you're at Festival Day 1 (with the tickets) then you may want to know the final bond scene reqs? I held off because honestly it's not like you can get them all and I'd expect that you'd naturally unlock the ones for the characters you care about but...

You basically need to meet 2 requirements for a character:

1. Have a high enough Link Level.
-Original Class VII: Level 5
-Crow/Millium: Level 4
-Sara: Level 4.5
-Towa: "Level 2"

Of course, you can only see Sara's link level during Garrelia and you can't see Towa's at all. For both it basically boils down to having done enough of their bond events.

2. Attend at least one of the following events for that character:
-Their Chapter 6 Bond Event (for Towa it's her Chapter 5 one since she doesn't have a Chapter 6 Event)
-Pick them for the bike event
-Spend at least 2 tickets on them at the festival
