Can you not do the z-hard versions? The z-hard versions typically don't make you do the final phase of the fight and give a random amount of medals from 3-6

Assuming off the top of my head that they have z-hard versions, I know a few dokkan events don't

I can get through the first 3 or so phases of the Z-hard versions, but the 4th is usually too much. It's also possible I'm just bad and not understanding mechanics of the game, as I said I've really only been playing it very casually.

I would specifically try out this team for you, even if they're all un-dokkaned:
AGL Goku (Super type lead)
AGL SSJ4 Goku
TEQ SSJ4 FP Goku (You can use both this and the other goku since the name is different)
INT UI Goku
STR SSJ4 Vegeta
STR SSJ2 Vegeta
PHY SSJ Vegeta friend (the one that's the pure saiyans lead)

The ssj4s will for sure link amazingly with each other, and all but SSJ2 Vegeta in this list is also of the "pure saiyans" category, which means using the SSJ Vegeta friend will give them much better boosts than a normal super type leader would and will kind of make up for AGL Goku's leader skill being undokkaned.

I would try that team, and try doing specifically the AGL Transforming Goku dokkan event first. I don't remember if the event is up currently, but the STR SSJ2 Vegeta dokkans from a story event, so that's easy peasy, so definitely do that if possible. If you can manage to get AGL Goku dokkan'd, I would go to UI goku next, then TEQ FP SSJ4 Goku, then the LRs.

Edit: LOL Skullbone and I suggested the exact same team minus the friend leader. Amazing. (I still think a pure saiyan friend would be worth the dropoff in effectiveness of STR SSJ2 Vegeta but that's just me, AGL SSJ Goku is another option)

Yeah I mean the two most important things are leader skills and rotations. You need to build your team around leader skills and not just put all of your strongest cards together. Also the friend that you take has their leader skill applied to your team so you should also be selecting a friend that benefits your team.

Not all of the dokkan events are equal difficulty, the older ones are much much easier so you should start with those units.

Try running this team

AGL Goku
AGL SSJ4 Goku
STR SSJ4 Vegeta
TEQ SSJ4 Goku
INT UI Goku
STR Vegeta and Bulma

and take SSJ AGL Goku as friend leader

Also, as skullbone mentioned, rotations are important, specifically is that the first 2 units in a round will always stay together for their next rotation. So if you can keep ideally, 2 of the 3 SSJ4s (it probably doesn't matter which) being the first 2 in each round they come up, it will boost your effectiveness tremendously.

Since you said you play casually, I'm curious, are you at a point in the game where you have enough training items that you can just level up someone from 1-100 with no issue? Or do you need to actually do missions as your main way of leveling up?

No, Ive stocked enough training items that Ive been able to level most units up to Dokkan Awakening that way. I know my stock isnt infinite but I was able to raise all the cards you guys suggested to 100 through items.

That STR Vegeta/Bulma is what carried me early on when I didn't have much. It's very good.

Try searching for super phy and a couple of his categories. Don't remember which he has off the top of my head. Also, I set Transgeta as my friend support. Feel free to add me, he has two dupes in him.

I don't have any trouble but I wonder if it limits you to players around your rank. If so I imagine that might limit it. Go to the filter, and filter to super PHY, and then in categories select the "pure saiyans" category. If that doesn't work, then yeah there might not be any available.

If there's not, then do a filter on super AGL "pure saiyans" and that will pull up either the aforementioned SSJ Goku, or another better option would be the SSB Vegeta who is also a pure saiyans lead.

If neither of them pan out, then level up one of your PHY units, stick them on the team in place of I guess STR Rage vegeta, and do a search for super TEQ "Potara" and you might be able to find a SSB Vegito lead, who is a super type lead but requires one of each type on the team to give the boost. Or alternately, you can do the same search but with super STR and you might find LR Vegito, who is a super type lead but it's not as impressive a boost.

As a last resort you can try searching for Extreme AGL Broly, but that wouldn't be ideal since he wouldn't pick up the boost from your lead, but most of the units would still be okay. It also requires that the broly be EZA'd or else his lead skill won't apply to your team, so if it gets to that, make sure to check.

Alright, so I feel like I'm doing something super wrong. I'm trying the team suggested on the Z-Hard AGL Goku stage, with a different Pure Saiyan Vegeta friend unit that grants a similar bonus, and getting smoked in like 3 rounds.

how much total HP do you have when you start the level? Did you make sure to set your AGL goku as the lead unit?

Something else I would look into, what are the special attack levels of these units? have you invested any kais into them at all? have you done anything with hidden potential at all?

Yeah, AGL Goku is lead, the run I just did with the SSB pure saiyan friend had me at around 230k HP.

I've leveled SAs of a few of them, a few are maxed, some aren't. Same with hidden potential, orbs are a bit of a bottleneck for me, but I've got at least some of the routes complete for each (not including unlocks, I don't have dupes of these guys).

I wouldn't hesitate to just psend all your potential orbs on that team, they're all great units that won't waste them, and it will help your survivability somewhat as well. I would also use these 4th anny coins we get for logging in, on grand kais for the units you need to max out. SA level is like, an absolutely huge deal.

The only other things I can think of as far as not getting blasted away is having the correct items (The main item lineup I run with is Senzu bean, Dende, Android #8, and Princess Snake. Icarus, Whis, Ghost usher, King Yemma are also good ones), and making sure you're not leaving one of your STR units to take a bunch of attacks. As long as you aren't doing that, a normal attack from that dokkan event probably shouldn't be doign more than 20-30k tops, and probably less than 10k if you can manage to tank a bunch with TEQ FP Goku. With a super I'd estimate no more than 100k? But yeah, dokkan events are just big damage races, if you don't have a lot of maxed out supers, it's gonna be tough.

Its easy enough that I doubt anyone needs it, but I set my 90% PHY Saiyan Saga Vegeta as leader for the EZA Goku Jr.

I have no idea why Im grinding more Elder Kai cards when I already lack the box space for them. Even getting the 15 spaces from the Giru mission would be like 40 too few probably. Like 1/3 of my total box is Kais >___>

I used kais on SSBE Vegeta and Android #17 because I was too impatient to wait for their events to come back. We get so many kais these days it almost feels like there's not a point in hoarding them anymore

I dont have anything worthwhile to Kai right now. All my best cards are SA10 and the ones that arent are cards Ill probably never even really use. Ive literally been using Sleepy Kais on the WT Pan just because. Im clearly way too F2P efficient as I grind everything with a farmable super attack. I couldve Kaid my new 16 and Piccolo, but I just used the super strike cards on them instead

Maybe you can kai up some of those cards that just got EZA announced on reddit when the details drop at least.

This is an extremely minor thing, but is anyone else annoyed at the repetition in LR SSJ4 Vegeta's active skill quote? "The real fight begins now. No one can stop me now." If the second line was just "No one can stop me" it'd sound SO much better!!

It's a specific emphasis on "now" as in "now" being different than before. It's kinda like the song Gonna Fly Now. The point is to go "NOW things are different. I'm faster NOW. I'm stronger NOW." etc. etc. Atleast, that's generally the intent behind that kind of repetition.

Strange question, would it be worth maxing out this TEQ Roshi for the punch machine stages? I know it's a supreme modifier but holy crap, I was just looking through my units and he gets +628% atk boost when performing a super attack, once only. That has to be at least somewhat significant when factoring in the +66% per ki boosts that are typical in those stages, right?

The only one I can think of off the top of my head is INT Chaiotzu, which can potentially be useful for super INT Super Battle Road (SBR being the hardest mode in the game, def not something to worry about right now). Chaiotzu has a guaranteed stun to all enemies the first time he comes up during a battle, so he's okay. 99% of SRs and below though, you can just baba points.

With all the HP orbs from today and buying some kais with the 4th anniversary coins, Im finally able to complete the dokkan stage for the transforming Goku medals, so thats nice. Takes a bunch of items and its pretty slow, but doable at least.

Hooray! Also don't forget the boost function, that's helpful. Trust me, AGL Goku is worth it, aside from his leader skill getting better, his passive gets a lot better too. He'll give your team a good boost.

Did another multi on vegeta's banner despite having vegeta, because I was 2 tix away from a tix multisummon. The stone summon got me nothing but the tix multi got me dupe #2 of LR Gogeta!

I did a few more pulls on Goku and got LR Vegito and a dupe. If I didn't want SSJ4 Goku it'd make me go back to pulling on Vegeta since I really want the LR Gogeta, but I already got SSJ4 Vegeta

My WT AGL Pan is now SA6 from Sleepy Kais. I still cant believe we havent completed the Giru mission yet. They gotta be purposefully waiting until the end of tomorrow >_>

Woo we got the box space and my WT Pan is now max SA. Also the AGL type banner is up for a one multi and done deal. I dunno why they dont move these supports to the general pool. Literally who can even pull them when you get one or two chances a year and will never summon on blue coin banners. Just seems so pointless. The TEQ banner in a couple days will have a lot of people pulling though because its a decent shot at an LR. Theres Goku/Frieza, SS3 Goku, Broly & LR Black which makes it the most LRs of any of the type banners I think.

Are you talking the strikes or the story events? The strikes follow the weekly schedule, but if you mean the story events, there's no set schedule to those. It's been a while since I've seen the saiyan saga though.
