IIRC, you shouldn't grind too much because the enemies will level with you, and combined with their better equipment, it makes everything much harder.

I recall the game is slightly hard in the beginning. But my favorite thing is the endgame. Putting a cursed weapon on every one of my main squad's hands... unstoppable. Well broken is the better term. Nearly every single member is a one-man army.

I know in Final Fantasy Tactics you can recruit random generated characters into your army, but they are usually supplanted by named characters who are better (Agrias, Orlandu, TG Cid, etc). Does the same thing happen here?

Basically, I want to know how much time and energy to invest into hiring randomly generated scrubs.

This is like that time in Kaguya-sama when Shirogane taught Fujiwara what rapping was, she learned how to rap, and then taught Shirogane.

That's one of those games where I felt like I should really like it, but it just kept pissing me off at every turn. Finally getting a basic revive spell and finding that it cost 100 MP to cast was when I was convinced that the game was flat-out trolling me. Eventually I got to the point where I couldn't do more than a pitance of damage against the MQ enemies, and the random enemies were literally unbeatable.

I might try it again someday, but I'm definitely reading a walkthrough if I do.

Also, does it matter if little shit guest NPCs end up dying mid-battle? Should I go out of my way to save them? Vyce is an aggressive fucker.

If they teleport away from battle on 0 HP then it doesn't matter.

If they die then you wanna reset.
