I wanted to like it but the alcohol gives it a medicinal aftertaste. Idk it's like root beer cough syrup.

Im not a fan. To me it tastes like cheap beer with some root beer syrup added.

I don't really drink, and my brother does. He knows I love root beer so he got me some as a gift once because he thought I might like it; I didn't. Never had the heart to tell him though.

I love root beer, and that stuff made me want to vomit the second it touched my tongue. I had to throw out the rest of the 6 pack I bought because I knew there was no way I could choke it down.

Oddly enough, their Mountain Dew version actually isn't half bad.

at first i really didn't like the aftertaste. once i got used to that it was actually really good.

Taste-wise its prettt good. However sugary drinks like that, margaritas, mojitos and other rum rum drinks make my stomach hurt. And I dont mean hurt as in I feel sick. I mean hurt as it total pain. If I have food with it I can sip a margarita. But on an empty stomach Im laying in the floor in agony.
Maybe Im just turning into an old man.

I thought root beer was some kind of American name for coke for years. Root beer is definitely a US thing.

One of the funniest stories I ever heard was when one of my Bulgarian co-workers first came to America and bought root beer at the grocery store thinking it was actual beer. Then calling his wife the next day and saying "forget about trying to find a house, they don't have real beer here!"

He later discovered IPAs and then all was forgiven.
