Genocide in Myanmar? dang that's too bad
World hunger crisis? Yeah glad I don't live in Africa
Large scale war in the Middle East? *wears a support our troops wristband*

Homes in Florida will need to be rebuilt in 100 years and polar bears will go extinct? Dear God, we need to march on Washington!

It's weird to me that people are really freaking out about changing climate, so our kids will live in a different world... just like we live in a different world than our parents? Just doesn't seem that bad to me. Some cities will shrink, some cities will grow. Some areas will desertify, some areas will get rainy seasons.

Seems like fear mongering to me, tbh

There will be no point in rebuilding anything in Florida at that point.

Also, all of the current problems you listed above will be made significantly worse by climate change.

You're allowed to care about more than one thing. During early 2000s, Americans still worried about paying bills despite the greater issue of the terrorist attack.

Also we can actually do something about this. I could ride a bike short distances to reduce my carbon emissions, but what the fuck do you expect me to do about a war in a far away country?

You seem scared about it so you're downplaying the severity of how bad it could be, and posting about it to get others to help reaffirm your belief that it's not actually that bad.

You lived in the same world as your parents

Your kids or grandkids may live in a world where barely any animals still exist. Where the ocean is poisoned. Where countless forests have died out. And you can get cancer just from going outside in the sun fir 5 minutes without a radiation suit on

And at that point in time, food will be much, much more difficult to grow, so starvation will be a huge problem not just in the 3rd world. Civilization will collapse if there aren't some huge changes made.

Captain. Planet assembly here!

Human beings have made tremendous strides to be environmentally concious. We have emission tests, in depth systems for animal treatment and recovery. The whales didn't go extinct. There's still snow on Mount Everest.

The world isnt going to end in 12 years. That's a myth.

But the people in the middle East getting stoned to death for being gay, slavery and starvation rampand in Africa. These are real problems that aren't going anywhere.

The polar caps aren't melting. It's your brains.

Probably because it will actually affect people living in America and Europe, while the things listed in your OP do not directly

Here's the problem:
https://pixel.nymag.com/imgs/daily/intelligencer/2019/05/10/Magazine/Fires/03-FIRES.w700.h467.jpg

Forests are meant to burn, every now and then. The fanatical drive to have them not burn, as well as randomly building bigass mansions in the middle of a bunch of trees, makes every forest fire utterly catastrophic.
