why was arya on the horse at the end of "the bells" ???
like it was two minute long segment showing her caressing the horse and then hopping on so that she can ride it down the old king's road til she can't no mo
then the finale starts and the horse is gone and she's not even interested in leaving town?
like what was the white horse for?

Maybe the writers did that episode then took a break....and then forgot how they ended it when working on the finale

The white horse symbolized safety and survival, calm after the chaos, etc.

It was ultimately just a horse, in universe. Were you expecting something else?

So Arya just kinda rode the horse for a few blocks then got off?

Cool

For real, it was really fucking dumb. I thought she rode out of King's Landing, it was pretty clearly implied that she was leaving, then what she just pops back up in E6 with no horse like she never left

They thought having a white horse at the end of the episode would look really cool and poetic and epic and stuff.

That's about it. There was no running theme or deep symbolism.

Did you see the horse man? It looked all bloody and beat up.

poor thing probably got tired and passed out before it could take Arya to end of the city. Then Arya being the spazz that she is got immediately distracted by something else, stayed in the city, and by that point episode 6 had started.

either that or...

if unicorns exist in Westeros, they are probably incredibly rare. and I don't think one would randomly wander into King's Landing after thousands of years, especially in the middle of a siege and an angry dragon

White horse was there to symbolize one of the four horses of Apovalypse, and refers to Conquest.
If you look further into Biblical meaning, Antichrist would ride that horse and :
He will be a charismatic leader that presents himself as the savior of the world. His power and authority will come from the dragon (Satan), and like Satan he is a great deceiver.

Im not sure if they meant it like that, but i thought it was interesting to look into it and you definitely dont have to take everything literally.

Yeah, both Pale and White horse are fitting, and is there for symbolism, nothing else

Unicorns on Westeros are closer to the wooly rhinos in the ice age or one horned giant goats than they are actual unicorns from other fantasy novels.

GRRM said a few months ago there would be a unicorn in Winds of Winter. Whether that's a traditional unicorn or the "Citadel's" explanation of a unicorn remains to be seen.

I think he was smuggling Jamie out of Danerys' camp undetected or something
