It's only $29.99, which I suspect won't be the MSRP of the final product so you're probably getting the game cheaper by getting it now.

If I buy Dreams Early Access, does that mean I get access to the full version of the game when its released, without paying any extra/twice?
Early Access is intended for Creators who will participate and contribute to Dreams Early Access, and in return, will have the full version of Dreams upon release.

I'm only posting this because there is an Early Access user limit and it could stop allowing new users soon.

Just got it and played a few online creations
I searched ball to play the monkey ball/marble it up game and it was fun!

Amazed that you can make pinball and old super Mario levels on this

Id love to create something but I have to wait for summer break since itll eat up too much time

The creation tutorials are just too pretentious and smug for me. Everything is vague and metaphysical, and at some point I'd rather just have a "this is how this works" explanation.

Little Big Planet had this problem, but it wasn't quite as metaphysical about it.

I will say the kinds of games you can make with Dreams are substantially more complex and ambitious than anything you could make with LBP.

Everything in LBP had to be made under the confines of what essentially was a strict 2D platformer.

Anything that wasn't strictly platforming required extraordinary measures of creativity and exploiting the toolset. And even then, there were obvious limitations that couldn't be overcome.

Dreams is a lot less structured - you can basically make any kind of game, from a turn based RPG to a FPS or even something like Marble Madness.

I suspect the downside to that is that Dreams is probably a lot more complicated of a toolset, since LBP at least had a standard set of physics, platforming, mechanics, etc. Dreams is almost entirely customizable. There's no "core" game play that you can build around.

I really doubt it's possible to truly make a full RPG or anything truly meaningful from the Dreams toolset, but from what I've seen of the early games, you can make some really quite amazing things and basically no genre is off limits.
