Nope. I agree with Trump. These soldiers are trained hard to fight for their country. What he did, he did for America

39 y/o U.S Navy SEAL Officer Prick, Edward Gallagher was beaming with his wife in a selfie posted as the officer charged with war crimes in Iraq is HIGHLY LIKELY to be PARDONED by President Trump on MEMORIAL DAY...BEFORE he even goes to trial June 10th!!

The Egg Shaped Officer is charged with killing a wounded 16 y/o ISIS prisoner in Iraq who was receiving medical attention when he walked into the room with a knife and stabbed him several times before slitting his throat!!

He is currently held in California prison after being moved to a more "suitable" prison after Republicans and his family members urged Trump to have be treated better

His wife Andrea and their kids were pictured joining him as he wore his uniform for the selfie. This comes as Trump has demanded paperwork for pardons suggesting he will make final annoucements on Memorial Day.

He and several other soldiers will be pardoned as Trump says these men are "Heroes" who were treated "unfairly"

Gallagher was highly lauded special warefare operator and racked up numerous awards but those were all tainted after he was charged with crimes as even his own Seal Mates ratted him out.

Gallagher SHOT at CIVILIANS and KILLED a young girl and shot at several others as soldiers said he was turning into a bloodthirsty "monster" and he even THREATENED them if they turned him in. He would regularly flip his lid on the warfield and began shooting at random people on the street and bragged that he Killed more than 200 PEOPLE!!

Trump said "Some of these soldiers are people that have fought hard, long. You know, we teach them how to be great fighters, and then when they fight someone, they get treated really unfairly"

Gallagher plead not guilty to all charges as his lawyers said the other SEAL team members were having it out for him and tried to force him out.

His lawyer claims they had not asked for a pardon but welcomed the pardon if it occurs

Rudy Guiliani's associate, ex NY Police Commissioner Bernie Kerik who served 3 years in prison in a federal corruption case is an investigator for Gallager's team..

Several Conservative commentators urged him to pardon Gallagher as critics say it would preempt justice and undermine military disicline and send a message that atrocities will be tolerated

Veterans were angered by Trump that he intends to pardon war criminals on Memorial Day

Gary Solis, a former military judge said Trump is a draft evader who wants to play general and exhibits president's ignorance

Do you care that this bottom dweller killed innocent people?

The US reserves the right to charge its own people, so yes.

It's like how mercenaries aren't legal in war, but if anybody chooses to charge a UK citizen, the UK can take them home and charge them under its own law. The UK doesn't have a law against mercenaries so there's no crime.

I know "but Obama's drone strikes", but at least Obama never stood next to a drone and said it didnt do anything wrong after all the other drones accused it of murder.

Shit like this is horrific and is honestly enough on it's own to show Trump as unfit. There's no reason for him to do this. It benefits no one. He's not being pressured into it. He's just being a bad person because he wants to be.

At this point I'm hopeful it's just a rumour.

Isn't this the guy that plunged a knife into a restrained POW even though his commanding officer wanted to ask him questions?

And he shot at a 16 year old girl carrying water from a well? And at an old man just walking on a trail? Both of which may or may not have been killed I don't remember

Listen, I was a grunt in the marine corps, I've done 2 tours and I can tell you there are a lot of dickhead in the military and even more so in special forces.

Those dickhead thought this guy was such a monster they turned him in. This guy would be punished more severely, imo. As someone who is in a position where taking life is a part of your job you need to put a higher value on life in general or you risk becoming a disgusting monster. This guy did the latter.

No, he just let the operators keep operating so they never even left the military. Granted, the whole program was just a means of diffusing responsibility for war crimes.

Sounds like someone who's never served in the military in another country. Turns out, when you're in an armored vehicle with multiple weapons at your disposal, it's pretty not to murder anyone. I know from experience.

trump is mentally ill so pardoning someone who commits war crimes is no surprise. If you look at the people who still support trump they are lacking in the morals department in my book, so this is his way of making them happy.

most don't. after news of this broke, a huge amount of military people expressed shock and anger about this. Trump is disregarding military law and their own decisions. The military itself deemed what this guy did to be against their values and laws. and then Trump just hand waves it away. I dont support this pardon at all so let me get that point out of the way. But I want to ask do you think all draft dodgers are cowards or just the ones you dont like? Iirc Clinton did all he could to avoid being drafted and to throw in a non politician Muhammad Ali iirc actually got arrested for it. Well just looked that up he was sentenced but appealed out of it.

16 is old enough to join the British Army, that really isn't young enough to be a child soldier. Let's also note that there's no rule that soldiers can only attack other armed soldiers in good health, the enemy is fair game until they surrender.
