Holy crap

The documents reportedly allege that Baptist pastor Logan Kearse invited several women back to his room with Dr King, where the pair were recorded discussing sex acts with the women.

One claims: When one of the women protested that she did not approve, [Mr Kearse] immediately and forcibly raped her, adding that Dr King looked on, laughed and offered advice during the incident.

According to the Sunday Times, Dr King was allegedly monitored engaging in sex acts with around 40 women and on one occasion claim he coerced a woman into a sex act by claiming it helps your soul as well as suggesting he may have secretly fathered a daughter outside his marriage to wife Coretta.

All Yahoo and BI are reporting is the article written by Daily Mail exists, they aren't confirming it nor are they offering any new information. And considering this is coming from an organization in the FBI that factually tried to destroy MLK during his life and undermine him along the way, until I hear actual evidence of this incident I won't believe it at all.

The only thing (that's been posted in this topic anyway) that is worth anything is the potential rape claim. If he truly laughed at a woman being raped by one of his friends, then yeah that will absolutely change my opinion of him. Him being a womanizer is well known, it would be no surprise at all if it was 40+ women that he slept with, and also no surprise if a child or two came about because of it.

That being said, crap like this is why I don't really admire historical figures, no matter how well regarded they are. The more pristine their public perception, there is usually a dark side to them that's lesser known.
