I was just laying down and watching some OPMs2, when all if a sudden my heart rate just goes thru the roof. I can feel my pule in my neck, i lay on my back its worse,on my stpmache is better.
I'm dizzy, delilerious, lethargic, metallic taste in my mouth, drowsiness suddenly disregarded

I still havent slept and now on top of those symptoms I feel......hyper aware, as if the higher blood pressure and such is making me more alert to every little thing. I tried eating a little at noonish and it was like I was on some sorta of upper how hard it was to force the chew, ya know?
drink a little wine to maybe re-indice some drowsiness or invoke some calm and i feel every swig as it flows down my gullet.

niw im at the point where I'm TIRED but my ryes just shoot back open and the onky thong i can link it to is maybe the high blood pressure?

idk man, it just feels like it might be swrious

What TC describes legitimately sounds like something I'd go to the ER for.

Then again, I've become pretty pro-active since my carelessness resulted in me getting metastisized colon cancer, so...

my first deduction was "blood pressure" and it seems like the pressure reducing* measures taken are working. though I dont feel "normal" I feel less terminal....ya know?

And I mean, yeah, it could just be a panic attack or low blood sugar. I'd rather be sure it's one or both of those things than it being something more serious, however.

That said, I understand not everybody has insurance and a trip to the ER can be fucking expensive. I've kinda forgotten about that since I became a Medicaid recipient two years ago, when the cancer thing happened.

It's weird that several people in this thread had a "Yup, this is the end" moment or more, including me back in February when I had a really weird pain in my chest for like five seconds.

Nothing happened.

How did carelessness lead to your colon cancer @EverDownward

Around November of 2015, I started noticing blood in my stool. I didn't think too much of it, and went about my life. I was shitting blood all of 2016. Come December of 2016, I have this real intense pain near the bottom of my stomach/right above my pubic area that raises some concerns - I've never felt pain in that area before. So, I go to the ER at like 4 in the morning. The pain goes away a couple hours later, and the doctor seeing me said an X-ray showed a couple spots on my liver and lungs that looked benign but she wanted me to get them checked out just to be sure.

Well, February of 2017 I end up in the hospital for an unrelated incident and when I tell the nurses there's blood in my stool during conversation they end up telling my doctors which ends up transferring me to the top of the tower, which is the cancer ward. A colonoscopy later, it's all but confirmed to be colon cancer. And a later biopsy confirms it's metastatic. Those two nodules on my liver and lungs? Metastatic cancer.

So yeah. The worst part about this is that I actually could have had this foiled on day one. I was also in the hospital back in November of 2015 when I noticed the blood for the first time and I asked for a G.I. doc to come down and talk to me. She said because I was so young, it could be literally anything. Hemorrhoids, an anal fissure, etc. But that if I really wanted to get it checked out, I'd need to do a colonoscopy which would take like two days, and I couldn't eat for a day and I'd have to drink this really nasty stuff and have a tube go up my butt while I slept, etc. But I decided against it because I was only 27 at the time, there's no way it's cancer...right?

@glitteringfairy

The first time it happens anyone should go to the doctor just to be sure, I personally have never had a panic attack but if that happened to me I would get to a doctor ASAP to make sure its nothing serious as I actually value my life/health.

Also no one here knows exactly what happened unless someone here is an actual doctor. It could be a panic attack or it could be something more serious, for unknowns a doctor is the right path to take.

I dont think anyone likes going to see a doctor but people who want to live bite that bullet and get their health checked out, people who say lol whatever are the ones that fall over dead or find out later that one trip to the doctors years ago would have prevented years of suffering or a terminal diagnosis.

Do what you want but dont whine later when you find out your in serious trouble. Its hilarious how so many issues can be prevented, and stopped in their infancy should you take care of yourself or dont ignore things.

Every few months since maybe 10 years ago I get this weird light headedness. Slight dizziness. But the worst is I can feel my pulse racing in my neck. Idk what the hell it is. Hasn't killed me yet. Usually lay down for a while and it's all better.
Never been able to connect it to anything I've eaten or medicine I've taken. It just happens. I'm 37.

Damn, sorry to hear that. Thats gotta be rough as hell, and especially frustrating given that you had a chance to catch it before it metastasized. How are your treatments going since it was found out, are you in remission?

Thanks, and yeah treatment is always rough to some degree. Sometimes, it's worse than others. The first will always be the worst, because my body had yet to come in contact with the medicine so it was absolutely dreadful, that first cycle.

But things get better, I guess. My body's gotten pretty used to chemotherapy, so for the most part it's not too bad these days, but then new side effects pop up from time to time to fuck me all over again. First time I tried Xeloda, my depth perception felt off, and my vision felt slanted. It was bad. This cycle of treatment, I'm taking Oxaliplatin, and although I've had it before, and alone, for some reason my tastebuds get weird for about a week and a half after taking it and drinks, save for water, taste flat - like they've been open for a day, and the flavor tastes off. It's really quite awful.

I'm currently in partial remission. Surgery might happen. We'll see.

For the record I'm not saying people should never go to the doctor, I just think CE is hilarious because CE will go to the doctor for literally anything

Had a pain in your side randomly for 5 seconds? Better go to the doctor!

Your is eye twitching? Better go to the doctor!

Like if I went to the doctor for every little ache or pain or panic attack I had I'd be millions in debt

Any chest pain radiating to your left arm or head?

nah, at the time it was mostly just a noticeable thwomping* with the pulse, once that physicality was gone it was like I had 15x espresso shot im assuming* due to the blood pressure?

my first deduction was "blood pressure" and it seems like the pressure reducing* measures taken are working. though I dont feel "normal" I feel less terminal....ya know?

edit: asterisks are edits, apparently im dyslexic now

That sounds like a panic attack. Apparently they feel like heart attacks but don't have the associated arm pain. I'm no expert though. That's just what I've heard.

yeah i've had several heart attacks and i just kinda get through them. What you need to do TC is get married as soon as possible and have as many kids as possible so someone is always around to save you.
