We have been of the mindset the last year or so to stop using protection and if it happened, great. If not, it's cool. My wife's sister lived with us for nearly 4 years and had 4 kids ranging from 8 to 2, and we really learned a lot about parenting without having kids ourselves. She finally moved out of our place and it felt really empty, so we decided to try and just go from there. It's a positive thing for sure.
