The cinematic version of this would be "Enemy Mine", which is also a concept that's rare in games.

A glitch example would be like in Goldeneye where you have to lure enemies to open doors for you early, but that's not really what I mean.

In Populous the Beginning there's a level where you have to make a land bridge between 2 of the enemy tribes, so that they attack each other. Not sure if you can do that later on when you fight 2/3 tribes at a time.

In most SMT games you have to convince the demons to join your party through various means. Not sure if that counts as manipulating.

There are many games that allow you to push enemies into battle. One example, the cartel and the military in Ghost Recon Wildlands have an uneasy truce, you can bait them to fight one another.

This is more along what I'm thinking of.

Same as the game A Way Out.

Y'see, converting monsters typically removes their agency as a story element and just become tools for you to use.
