You use something like OBS to set up a scene and the scene can have multiple predefined inputs even if you aren't able to see the inputs yourself so you can do it all on one monitor but it's not recommended imo. It has its problems from time to time, but it works quite well for what I need it for. For console most people use Elgato capturing devices, either the card or a stand alone device to record. Then you have to edit, which is fairly annoying. It gives me a video signal that I can record in whatever capture software I want. The video signal on my monitor might have a big enough delay to make a difference, so I use a basic splitter so I can play on my TV at the same time. That said, most bigger emulators supports video capture if you want to make it easy. --- GameFAQs isn't going to be merged in with GameSpot or any other site.
