Personally I'm hoping 11 was the start of a new trilogy

Like how the first 3 games were the loto trilogy

Or 4-6 were the Zenithian trilogy

This feels very likely, but I have to wonder if they can pull this off in any kind of reasonable window without crazy amounts of asset recycling. (Especially considering even just DQ11 itself was only possible because it's structured around going to the same areas three times.)

did dq11 ever explain wtf was with the star falling and suddenly being destroyed?

i beat the endgame and everything but don't remember the significance of that event

The star was the true ancient evil that Erdrick fought against and imprisoned, defeating Mordegon let it get free and you had to beat it instead for the true final boss.

Not really sure how you could forget that considering its pretty easy to remember...

Also its like an extra 30 hours to the game after the 'ending'.
