Board 8 > A quick FF13 rant

I'm at the end of Chapter 12 and I'm just so worn out and sick of this game. I actually didn't mind the first half of the game, a little motonous sure, but I was still enjoying it. But now I've hit a point where I'm just miserable.

The second Proudclad boss is ridiculously dumb, but whatever I'll just grind up a bit. Oh wait every battle in this area is a pain in the ass. I usually main Light/Hope/Sazh, but will swap in Fang or Vanille if necessary, but that's ridiculous too, because I have to reset my damn paradigms every time I swap party members. So I can't even sit back and have a nice little grind. I don't think I've ever played a JRPG that actually makes you stay on your A game for nearly every battle.

I don't normally like ranting about games like this, but I've been progressively getting more and more pissed off about this game the past 3 chapters or so. Am I missing something? Like is this supposed to be enjoyable somehow?

You should have stayed in chapter 11 until you were ready to move on. That's the part of the game where you get to actually enjoy the mechanics and explore a little bit. There is a point in chapter 13 where you can go back, but I think in chapter 12 you're stuck where you are.

Light-Hope-Fang is the most widely-used team. I used Fang-Sazh-Vanille. I haven't known anyone who changed teams in and out, though.
