First thing to consider is...ed's role.

What is the main goal of the player who gets that role?

I think ed just decided (or was told) to hard bus nonstop the whole game to look as great as possible. to ensure he made it to the end looking clean as a whistle.

my general synopsis as it relates to TODAY, i.e. the gladiator situation - in my opinion, ed's behavior, with respect to us knowing his role, implicates Ulti more than it does Corrik. also gives some reason to believe Ulti is likely a more valuable asset to scum than Tom was.

there is still a real possibility that both corrik and ulti are town but this reread does not give me any reason to want to lynch corrik first.

This one really stands out to me, by the way.

Ed's disappointment in Ulti's behavior seems so genuine. And if Ed was scum who knew that Ulti was Town Who Was Being Set Up For a Mislynch, I don't think Ed's disappointment would be so genuine.

Like I just don't see Ed as the type who is so heartless as to exploit a personal trait like that while watching a town go down in flames. Because if Ulti is town, then from ed's informed perspective that's just Ulti being totally gypped by a fake scan and I think Ed would have been more sympathetic instead of judging.

Ulti sounds town by that synopsis tbqh.

I don't think it affects my read on Corrik much. Setup already makes it highly unlikely for him to be scum, that doesn't change, and Gladiatoring Ulti based on IGCD's claimed track at the time seems like a Corrik thing to do regardless of alignment. The only real concern is that Red had pointed out that the track was unlikely to make Ulti scum before he did it, but Corrik seemed pretty convinced Ulti might insist on Strongmanning Han and killing Scare normally and that seems reasonable? Doesn't fit with the hypothetical Ulti/Red team very well since Red would probably object if he were scum though. Regardless, I think Corrik is almost certainly town.

As for Red, I'm still trying to work through it. Corrik I believe it was raised the point that scum could have thought Ulti was doctor when the track was claimed (assuming they Strongman'd Scare, which is reasonable to assume), so they didn't necessarily know the track was going to be taken back, but even with that in mind, the argument would seem to make Ulti look town. I could see scum Red defending town Ulti on the assumption that Corrik would Gladiator him anyway I think. I could see town Red pointing out the apparent contradiction that it's hard for Ulti to be scum if he was tracked to Scare when someone else flipped Strongman, but I don't know if he'd overlook that scum could theoretically have regular killed Scare (which I think he'd know or at least suspect Ulti would try to insist on as scum so they could Strongman Han instead).

I think it makes it look a bit likelier that he's scum if Ulti is town. Especially if you assume he knows Ulti well enough to know he'd react by hard defending Red as he has. Red's defense was by nature just simply wrong at that point. His track logic does not add up. If IGCD claimed he tracked Ulti to the night kill, Ulti is not claiming a town way he could have done it, and with pez's Lynch, then barring another scanner claim, IGCD is town, telling the truth, and Ulti is scum and red just simply wrong.

Now you can argue Red knew IGCD's track was fake. But, you cannot argue that Ulti was town.

Ulti even went the angle of saying Red was confirmed town by this. But, Ulti was saying he was vanilla and went nowhere while red is saying Ulti is TOWN BECAUSE HE HAS YO BE IF TRACKED THERE.

Somehow this leapt from if Ulti was tracked there he is town to... Ulti is 100% town and somehow Red is 100% town for stating if he went somewhere he claimed he didn't then he was town.

He didn't say initially Ulti was town if he DIDN'T go where tracked. And, Ulti and Red somehow town cleared each other from something that never existed. It was a weird leap.

Puns your big summary on Eaed basically comes across as if his goal was to be active enough to look involved but without really committing to anything serious. I don't really see where you're getting the idea that you think Eaed was just hard bussing to survive to endgame, you don't paint the picture that he went particularly hard for Tom. He did for Ulti, but that's presupposing Ulti is scum to try to paint a picture of Eaed's behavior instead of trying to analyze Eaed's behavior to determine Ulti's alignment.
