A Latino man raped a woman (mentioned in this topic) and due to a plea deal, that guy got the minimum sentencing of three years.

So based strictly on this judge's performance, Turner's sentencing wasn't appropriate for the crime.

As a side note, apparently the judge was an alum from Standford where Turner went.

Seeing as people have served longer for having weed in their pocket yes 6 months for raping someone is a slap on the wrist.

Canada didn't screen him when he came in, nor checked his mental health at any point during the citizenship process? And while he was in the country for ~7 years, his mental state was never noticed by each and every one of his employers/coworkers? And then after committing this attack, had the mental capacity to decide on getting a name change, and was set free by authorities without a plan to make sure he takes his sanity meds (or if he was even prescribed them while at the mental hospital)
