I have read the entire manga of OG DB and Z, and seen the anime series both of them. and there is no indication he's an alien until Raditz shows up and says it

Normal humans cant fly either but Krillian and Tien still do it. Also there was literally a werewolf in one of the tourneys.

Dragonball was full of terrestrial creatures way weirder than Goku.

The alien thing was utterly out of left field. Goku is kind of like a weird cross between Sun Wukong and Kintar in the original series, the alien thing was completely out of left field because Toriyama wanted to tell a different sort of story in Z

dragon ball original series is set on a planet that is filled with weirdos. him not being human doesn't mean he has to be an alien.

The closest we got is zero origins of where Goku came from. He was discovered as a baby by Grandpa Gohan. Z is what gave us his full origin and expanded on it.
