A guy who is married but kind of bored with his life reconnects at his birthday party with his old best friend who he hasnt seen much lately. His friend got him a new VR street fighter type game that they used to play a lot back in college. So the 2 dudes play it that night, his friend picks a girl character and then the 2 of them make out. Theyre weirded out by what happened but then they play again a few days later and fuck. This goes on for a while before the main character decides to need it because his wife suspects that hes having an affair and he doesnt want to hurt her.

So 7 or 8 months later his wife is pregnant and its his birthday again. She invites his friend over for dinner because last year he said that they didnt get to hang out much anymore. The 2 of them end up ducking in VR again and he tries to end it again but the friend doesnt want to. They meet up in rea life, kiss and realize that theyre eonly into each other in the game. Then they get into a gift and they cops show up. Theyre arrested and he tells his wife the truth. Theres another time skip and we see that he has a new arrangement with his wife where she lets him fuck his friend in VR once a year and she gets to fuck a random guy during that same night.

TLDR- VR sex shenanigans

wtf that has got to be the cheapest and most juvenile attempt to promote non-monogamy or even homosexuality in what's generally a pretty high fucking concept sci-fi anthology series.

Also San Junipero already did this sort of thing and it was amazing.

Didn't really know what to feel about the episode. It didn't really feel very Black Mirror-esque, if that makes sense. Not to say that it was bad, just... different.

Felt like it ended on a high note, since him and his wife compromised and both seemed happy. Definitely invites some interesting questions in regards to sexuality, though.

- Was the VR experience gay? Or just for the guy playing as the girl character?

- Is it considered cheating? No physical acts are being committed, but everything felt is similar to real life. Or is it more like porn/masturbation?

It was a good episode. Not like a black mirror episode imo. They've explored vr before and this one seemed lazy in writing.

You're in for some disappointment in e2 and 3. E2 almost put me asleep and shouldn't be apart of black mirror. E3 was an edgy Disney movie.

I was almost pleasantly surprised at the very end when I thought that the wife had gotten into playing the game with him. Then they could have time jumped again and shown her at a bar and him showing up and doing the stranger flirting role play that they did at the beginning.

That would have made me go awwww, but no, I guess Im unhappy because I cant just get with the times and be down with open relationships. Guess Im just an old fuddy duddy for wanting to see ahh whatever fuck it, I already made a rambling rant topic about how much to shit that show has gone. Fuck off with the Emmy bait, black mirror shit heels.
