And everywhere I look its either decent but too much money, like I could afford it but Id have little to no money left over, or the place is completely garbage.

First world problems, I know, but I want a washer and dryer, a refrigerator, a stove, and a dishwasher.

I have about a month to figure it out. Im thinking a year in a super cheap, super shitty place should save me enough money to get a not super cheap and shitty place.

If you aren't set on keeping your current job, you could move to a smaller town for cheaper rent without a cut in quality, necessarily.

Hunting for places is not fun. Just sent through that.

I wanted those things and had to settle with just a stove and fridge. It's really not so bad and I genuinely don't miss the dishwasher. Try to at least get on site laundry. You'll manage either way and the savings can be worth it: I'm saving at least 250 a month on a place with those 5 appliances, that's 3k a year out of pocket money. My place also covers my internet (80 bucks is 80 bucks) and my suite is a lot larger than most I looked at.

My biggest complaint had to be with the people that live here more than missing appliances. Though lack of laundry can be hard. Good luck with sorting it out

I am set on keeping my current job. I have worked hard for it, have no college education, and I dont think Id be able to get the same job without starting from the bottom.

I have a couple hundred dollars in credit card debt. Nothing big. My credit score is decent. 670 right now, could easily be higher if I payed everything off, or even if I got another credit card and raised my limit without using it.

I also realized while looking that I have never found a place on my own. Ever. It has always either fallen into my lap or I moved in with a girlfriend. Thats embarrassing.

If you can afford it, I would go with the decent place. Moving into a shithole when youre already feeling down from the breakup just going to make it worse. Since youve been at your job for a while, maybe you could explain your situation to your boss and possibly get a raise or some extra hours to give you a little more cash to play with.

Extra hours wont help, on salary. And I actually just got a 3000$ a year raise, which after taxes, on each paycheck, is basically nothing sounded so good at the time

Theyre actually putting me in a hotel for two weeks. Which is tight as fuck. Im in my house with just me and my pets until Friday, and then Im in the hotel for two weeks, and then..

I also think after I leave for work Friday I will not see my pets again ever, so this is hard in a way that Im trying not to think about.

For a place, it can be hard. I miss having easy access to do laundry. But eh. I have a dishwasher, and barely used it. Haha. I just did dishes by hand most of the time. And I didn't even have a fridge or stove. I bought those. I'll probably sell them when I move unless my landlord wants to buy them from me to keep in the house. She probably won't, though.

Also, it's not that embarrassing to have never found a place on your own. It all depends on lifestyles and such. Some have to do it super young, but others not until they're older. Sometimes, not at all.

Also, the pet thing is hard. I can't imagine that. I would never let mine go... Were they hers? I always thought they were yours, tbh...

Well, we got boomer from somebody she knew. Then we got reptar from somebody she knew, and she paid for him. The only one I really have claim to is betty, and I got that for her for a Christmas present.

I asked her if I could have boomer. She said no.

Have you considered a van down by the river? The location has many benefits, including a place to bathe, wash your clothes, etc.

Finding a place that would allow reptar would be way too much for me to afford, and I work so much he wouldnt get the attention he deserves.

I can only have a cat right now. Ill get one at a later time that will be all mine.

I mean, its our dog. And, as I said, he wouldnt get the attention he deserves if I took him. It would be harmful to my dog for me to take him.
