Barely
Not enough to commit to them
I could do DS1 on my Xbox if that was preferable
Do not own 2/3
I have DeS on PS3 but I'll never play that, it's unhooked

Mainly just trying to play all the PS4 exclusives, not all the Souls games

Harder than DS3, easier than DS2, on par with DS1.

Learn the gun parry ASAP

it's not impossible.

there's a couple early bosses that are... actually brutal, but there's tips and tricks for those.

i did have to get used to the faster pace coming off of Dark Souls 2

Father Gascoigne comes to mind lol

That's the "get good" test.

The learning curve is steep, so you'll need to be observant and patient. The first area is one of the toughest areas in the game so once you get through that (and the game "clicks" for you) it's relatively easy.

Bloodborne was my first FromSoft game. It was a life changer for me. I avoided Souls games because all I heard was how difficult they were. Now they are my favorite games. They changed my views on gaming and what kind of games I like now.

In the beginning you will probably feel overwhelmed a bit. I almost sold the game back after a couple hours. But stick with it and if you really feel like you have hit a wall look up some tips for FromSoft noob. You will often encounter parts of the games that seem impossible at first but once you figure them out you will wonder why you thought it was so difficult in the first place.

It's pretty accurate. But I wouldn't say the game gets easy. But it does get progressively less difficult as you get better.

Nope, this was my experience too. For me it was just like this.

I had never played a Souls game before and I died a ton in that first area but I kept at it and got the hang of it. I loved it lol.

If you're patient and not prone to getting frustrated easily and keep trying you'll be fine TC.

That's a given. Anything gets easier as you learn. But that's very different than easy overall. There are definitely some rough areas.

In the base game theres a few hard bosses but the majority of the games difficulty comes from initially learning how to play. Once you learn how to parry and dodge correctly you'll do fine. It's more methodical than twitch gameplay. Learn boss attacks and how to dodge. Get your hits in. Repeat.
At least that's how I played it. I've seen others simply git gud and beat the hell out if stuff.

The dlc is harder though. That final boss in there is an asshole.

Yeah, that was one of the hardest bosses for me because it's like a wake up call

Also that one flying guy you fight on the roof can eff off

Father Gascoigne is the point where the game is like "you will master the gun parry and dodge mechanics or you will not pass"

I pretty much got through the game doing nothing but the spin move with the hunter axe lol. I also used help on half the bosses.

Still had a fun time and I never did finish the dlc. I get frustrated with platformers, but BB was different. Gotta be methodical and learn where everything is and it's pretty chill

Yeah this wasn't my experience at all. The area leading up to and including the Blood Starved Beast was fucking brutal, and so help you god if you get snatched in the cathedral ward

First area was pretty mild, on par with other souls game starting areas

I save boss battle videos on youtube when I remember to hit the button now, but I didn't do that during Bloodborne :/. Even this Sekiro run I only remembered like a 3rd of the time. I remember thinking guns were pretty useless in Bloodborne tho. I have very selective ignorance (along with regular ignorance). It's weird. Ive beat every Souls game without parrying. I have videos of most DS3 bosses. I parry now tho. Still not on bosses tho.

I literally couldnt beat the original release of Devil May Cry 3. Boss rush mode at the end with only one healing item left broke me. I had beat Ninja Gaiden on Xbox before it.

I have the platinum for Bloodborne.
The hardest bosses imo are Father G and Moon bitch.
I also 100%, completed the DLC which is a fair bit harder.
23 attempts on Ludwig, 65 for Laurence, 5-15 for all the rest.

The DLC is much more difficult imo. Although some of the lower level chalice dungeon bosses messed me up almost as much as the DLC ones.

As someone who had limited experience with the souls game prior to playing it, as much as I wanted to like it I couldnt defeat the first boss. Even getting to it was a nightmare and I soon dropped the game.

Fast forward a year later, I decide to boot it up and give it another shot. 10/10 experience. Have beaten multiple times including the DLC. Its very rare for me to go back and replay a game but Bloodborne is different.

It's hard but rewarding.

Using the wiki and planning your build makes it totally doable chasing down items you need for your build and planning your game.

It just depends on the build you're trying to make especially a pure Arcane build.

They're all beatable but most of them have unfair segments/surprises. i know it feels better to say the games dont have unfair parts but it's not true at all IMO

They each have a small section that could be considered bs but that's part of the appeal to me. It's never something insurmountable once you know what it is tho.
