I'm allergic to wheat, eggs, egg byproducts, shellfish, peanuts, peanut oil, and scented perfumes and colognes so of course I can't have any of that around me. I received a tentative job offer pending a drug test, which shouldn't be a problem, but I'm not sure when to bring this up. This has been challenging in the past. I'm never sure how companies will respond because depending on the culture, changes will be needed.

I don't think so, Tim.

If the job MAY get you in contact with any substances likely to cause an allergic reaction, you need to mention it if you are asked at an interview/questionnaire.

If you refuse to share the info due to the "THAT'S PERSONAL!!!" mentality that some people have, your employer will be held unaccountable if you ever have an allergic reaction at work.

If the employer "forgets" to ask and it happens, the employer will be deemed responsible.

Way before you start working. Like first interview/contact with the company.

Indeed. If it's relevant, they will ask you.
