Swap to chemist and do a couple battles until you learn auto potion.

Sell all your non hi-potions and fight him again. Problemo solved.

This is also an incredibly effective strategy.

get the auto potion skill and buy a lot of the strongest potion and remove the weakest potion. every time he hits you, you get a cure.

Thats what I thought at first, then he mentioned Ramza was a level 8 monk, so I thought he was talking about the first fight with Wiegraf.

That fight is much easier than the next one, just focus fire Wiegraf down with ranged attacks while distracting him with a tank, try to catch him and the chocobo in the same aoe so you don't have to worry about cures, keep someone with throw item in the rear out of harms way to revive while your tanks finish him off.

It's an Assassination mission, just focus fire on him and get it over with. How is your Delita?

Here are some other tips for you -

Brave = Reaction Chance [70 Brave = 70% your Auto-Potion or Counter triggers)

Faith = Magical damage/status effects. If you have low Faith, you will take a lot less damage from Magic, but you will also do less damage. Also, if you have low Faith, things like Stop will miss you a lot less, but so will things like Haste

ALWAYS CHECK THE TURN ORDER!

You don't have to target a unit, you can target a space. This way you can hit 2-3 people without having to worry about the guy moving and dragging your Fire2 to a team mate

You will get your unit's turn faster if you don't do Act and Move. You save on CT (Clock Ticks) if you only do one of them, and save even more CT if you do nothing. This helps getting the turn order in your favor

Try not to make your Spell casters have much speed or they will go before the mobs and never hit any spells

Auto-Potion uses your worst Potions first, so if you want Auto-Potion to trigger Hi-Potion, you have to sell all your normal Potions first

i lost boco : ( and agrias' knights doing Bariaus Hill. those summoners were a pain in the ass.
