AMEX = asap
Chase = auto-email saying I will receive an answer as soon as possible. It's been 2 business days.

FYI, This is literally a second credit card for a hotel. My first credit card is with my Credit Union bank that is not Chase. Chase needs to step it up.

Of course they automatically approved you... even if you have bad credit, they'll still hand those things out like hot cakes. Shoot, they're probably -more- likely to give you a card if you have bad credit lolol

I got a Hilton AMEX card because they are doing a 130,000 points give away which will end on 28 August. You also get 10 free priority lounge visit per year.

The best is the free weekend night certificate which can be used to stay at an extremely expensive ($600 per night Maldives, for e.g.) hotel.

Chase can be very picky when it comes to extending credit. They already have a 5/24 rule where they'll deny you outright if you've applied for 5 cards (with ANY issuer) over a 24 month period.

Yeah, I read about it today but I haven't applied for a credit card in like 7 years. I think they are just being strict.

I did hear from youtube about AMEX being second in customer service. Discover being the first.
