I'm not against the Red Vote, I would still very much like his claim. But he didn't claim under threat of being hammered. So, I doubt he's gonna claim even if we get him to -1 again. You know, Ulti as a scum mayor variant would be interesting. I dont think its the case, but the whole claim day 1 then dont mayor at the end would line up with that. Scum mayor Ulti would have great incentive to mayor town Red there.

I dont think we peruse this line until later in the game but I dont think Ulti deserves obv town status quite yet

And that's well and good. I've not signed up for a game in like 2 years, and wouldn't even know this was a thing if I hadn't got pinged. I'm trying to cover all bases in a game where I'm operating with very little hard information. I'd rather not need to lynch people to get them to start talking, but if the only way I can get information out of people is off their flips then that might be what has to start happening.

It's not as insane as it sounds, actually.

It's an high risk/reward play if you're both scum. We had a claimed mayor sitting there and not much reason to disbelieve the claim at that point. A 5 hour hammer freaks him out and he stops the lynch.

Town loses day 2 entirely, and you get separation from Red.

But if it is a real question, scum cant ever prevent the lynch of scum. Roles like that are banned.

But theoretically there can be scum roles that prevent the lynch of town.

You specifically asked to confirm if you waited for Ulti to post, which you didn't, but I don't see you waiting for him to post then immediately hammering in that situation anyway. It's glaring "Mayor this" bait.

When you hammered, Death was going to be asleep for hours. It was 5 hours between hammer and flip, and at any time Ulti could've popped in, gone "wtf?", and stopped the lynch.

Mayors can also preemptively set a lynch to be stopped if it starts setting off alarm bells in case they're not there on hammer. Ulti posted after Scare put Red -1.

What might be most troubling about this mayor thing now is you're saying Ulti is definitely scum. Ulti is almost assuredly not scum.
