M-Watcher 07/27/19 10:26:00 AM #51:	It's important to understand that dogs are the result of generations of selective breeding. Each breed is designed with specific purposes in mind. I have a beagle-mix. Sweetest thing around, wouldn't hurt a fly. But I know that beagles (and the other breeds she's mixed with) were bred for a purpose: hunting. For beagles specifically, hunting rabbits. As expected, she's very interested in rabbits. One time we found a rabbit burrow full of babies. And she tried eating them. I stopped her because I knew this was a possibility. Now I don't know a whole lot about pitbulls, but it seems to be a pretty safe assumption they are bred to be killing machines. There are only good owners and bad owners. Someone who puts pitbulls enclosed with cats and never trained it is a bad owner. I have a house full of cats and a pit and shes never once been viloent towards them. Ive done nothing to encourage or discourage such behavior. Hell im legit shocked she never gets upset with them trying to eat food out of the same plate as her. She'll chase a outdoor cat though. Only once has caught one and she licked and sniffed it and went about her day. She hates opposum though.
