A friend told me it was the last season but wikipedia states rumors of there being a 4th and maybe 5th season.

I liked season 3 but also didn't like some of it. I was under the impression it was the last season and they were gonna explain everything. Instead they posed more questions. How the fuck did the Russians get there, when did they build that lab so far underground (and in what, only a year?) and what the hell were they even trying to do, we get no explaination for their motivations and instead get generic Russian bad guys a la Red Dawn but this time the homage wasn't as fun or as good as previous seasons.

And they don't explain how fertilizer/household cleaning chemicals equals that gross monster thing.

Lastly, seemingly* killing off Hopper is some bullshit. What he couldn't have run back inside after taking care of that generic Russian bad guy villain?

*could he be the American in that Russian facility?

They won't cap it off with season 3, especially with how it ended.

It's also wildly popular, I think season 3 was the most watched season of anything on Netflix ever. There's no reason to stop now when it's getting ratings.

1.) its supposed to be two years after their failed attempt in Russia. And clearly they had a deal with the mayor so they could do what they want in the town.

2.) their goal was the same as the Americans, to access and use whatever forces they find in the upside down, as part of the arms race.

3.) the kids explain the fertilizer. The flayed are inducing chemical changes in their own bodies by consuming different combinations of reactive ingredients and substances. That way they can dissolve to goo and become part of the mindflayers physical body.

4.) Hopper couldnt go back, when he threw the Terminator guy into the machine, they showed that the pathway back was blocked by all the lightning.

And anyway, the creators themselves confirmed that it would last at least 5 seasons if I remember right.

well netflix usually has a 3 seasons then cancellation policy just because its cheaper that way
but stranger things is popular enough where it will probably avoid that fate.

Did I miss that part ? I just thought he wasnt ready for girls/or even guys yet, and was just still enjoying a kid and just hadnt defeloped that yet like the other kids

Yeah I feel like it had to do with him wanting to remain a kid and catch up with the time he lost from being traumatized and in that world.

If they're doing more seasons does that mean they're gonna go back to Kali and the other kids that were experimented on? That was universally agreed to be a terrible episode but I still think the concept of other kids like Eleven is cool.

It was much better than season 2 but I hope they pull back on the humor next season, not that the humor isn't ever effective.

I thought the humor was pretty on point for the show as per usual. Maybe a little too much of the Hopper and Joyce bickering. BUt otherwise pretty good. I especially liked the ice cream gang, just Steve and girl's hilarious sailor uniform outfits was adorable.

I wish they would reboot with a different cast/setting but keep similar themes. I enjoyed season 3, but I'd like things mixed up some now instead of everything always happening to the same group.

It took forever to warm up to the original cast, and now I basically only watch the show because I like them so much., What I do like is how they add to the group and what new dynamics the new characters bring, like Max in season 2 and Robin in season 3.

A 4th season is a guarantee, with a real possibility of a 5th, but that is it.

You will know when it is the final season, they will hype the shit out of it being the last one.
