And then Bleach, which I supported most of the time, is probably my favorite anime. I love the characters, and their interaction made the show amazing. The fight scenes and powers and stuff are cool too, but my favorite scenes were always when they just talked or riffed on each other.

And most of the theme songs and other music was crazy good. I have a whole playlist of just Bleach.

The problem with Bleach is everything that came after the Soul Society arc.

The filler arcs like the Bount storyline killed the momentum (Even though it was required as they were catching up to the manga), but the Vizard and Arrancar stuff just never pulled me back in.

No matter how hard they tried to make Ulq and Grimmjaw be cool villains, it didn't do it for me.
The manga stuff near the end was so poor I'm not sad to see it not get animated.

I didnt like Ulquiorra all that much, but Grimmjow was pretty cool. Especially the rivalry with Ichigo. But as far as villains go, Aizen is the GOAT. That cool sophistication mixed with that pure intimidation factor. He might actually be my favorite Bleach character. I even cosplayed as him a few times!

Id say the show should have ended on the battle with Aizen. I enjoyed everything until then, except some of the filler. The Bount arc had a few cool fights but youre right. It sucked.

Aizen started off really hot.
Great way to introduce his villainous actions, didn't really let you breath or process the big reveal because within a few mins the entire game had changed on us.

Though after a while I kinda got sick of him and all the memes came true. He just stuck around too long and he went past his sell by date.
I like my great villains to have either a final definitive end like Shishio or a face turn that fits well enough with where the fights are going, like Piccolo.

I actually love most of Death Note, but never really bothered saving it. However, I didn't enjoy much after a certain point (except the last episode) and the introduction of a couple of characters. Everything before that is really fun and I don't think I was ever bored. Everything after L's death (yes I know it's really old but there might somehow be someone who wants to watch it and hasn't yet okay) is just so meh, however, that I can't bring myself to like any of it. Would have preferred it to Monster though, which I'll have my little complain about next round.

Reminder to everyone to vote Madoka or at least watch it if you haven't yet! Doesn't matter if you know the plot or the "twist" already (which I think just about everyone who's heard of it has). Even if you don't like the sound of it or think it's going to go out of its way to subvert your expectations, just give it a shot. Everyone knows it's different to the stereotypical mahou shoujo, but the execution of the premise is great (and it's still got the best execution out of its subgenre), the visuals are cracking, and it's one of those rare shows which has actually made me go "holy shit". I rewatched it after the contest last year, and I liked it a lot the first time but it grew on me even more the second. Quite a lot of clever little details and foreshadowing.
