Childless, Disney-loving millennials are firing back after an expletive-filled social media tirade claimed Disney World is only for children and parents.

The lengthy, almost all-caps rant from someone who claims to be a mother of a toddler first popped up last year and went viral again this weekend after @JenKatWrites tweeted a screenshot of the mom's post. The tweet has since garnered more than 17,000 retweets and more than 4,000 replies.

The rant begins with, It p***** me off TO NO END!!!!! When I see CHILDLESS COUPLES WITHOUT AT DISNEY WORLD!!!!

Then, 10 red angry face emojis and: DW is a FAMILY amusement park!!!!!

The mom went on to detail a trip when she had to deny her 3-year-old son a Mickey-shaped pretzel because the snack line was too long and she saw another adult (reportedly without children) buy one.

DW is for CHILDREN!!!!! the mother continues. People without CHILDREN need to be BANNED!!!!

Though @JenKatWrites said she hadnt yet visited Disney World, thousands of people replied to the tweet thread saying they love visiting the theme parks as childless adults.

Some said they have children, but enjoy the parks more when they dont have the kids in tow. Others went so far as to point out that many Disney characters, like Mickey and Minnie Mouse, don't have children.

A New York Post writer fanned the Disney outrage flames Friday when he wrote a column about the mothers rant and followed up by saying, Sorry, childless millennials going to Disney World is weird.

Johnny Oleksinski said millennials have an unhealthy relationship with Disney and another oft ignored problem with letting a kids brand control your adult life is the stupidity and culture ignorance it leads to.

Oleksinskis take was not well-received by many people on social media, from childless millennials and parents to those who have been visiting Disney World since the 1970s.

Some questioned whether the weird ones are actually parents who bring to Disney World children who are too young to form memories.

For the record, the writer of this article is a childless millennial with a Disney World annual pass who visits the parks every other month or so. It may be weird for others, but this writer doesnt think its weird for her.

Disney World has guides for adults at each park, including where to eat, drink and shop and the best places for after-hours events and tours. CBS News reported the company has been courting adults (both childless and with children) for years, especially those late 20s/early 30s millennials who grew up as Disney kids.

A 2018 survey from Morning Consult found about three-quarters of millennials, 75 percent without children and 78 percent with children, said they would visit a theme park in the next year. The survey said this group is also more likely to think a theme park trip is a good value for the price compared to 50 percent of all parents.

But this viral rant and New York Post article arent the first to poke at childless couples visiting Disney World.

A Thrillist blogger in 2016 queried: Whats With All You Adult Couples Who Vacation at Disney World? The writer says, Im not here to judge (well) Im just asking you to help me understand your peculiar choice of destination for an amorous getaway.

A mom blog writer in Memphis also wrote last year: Dear Child-Free Millennials: Youre Ruining Disney World.

After the all-caps rants, name-calling replies and think pieces about why a particular group of people should or shouldnt be able to enjoy Disney World, many people are hopping into this ongoing social media conversation to say: let people like what they like.

The Washington Post spoke with 35-year-old pharmacist Nikida Metellus, who lives near Disney World in Orlando. She runs the ThemeParkHipster blog and has a guide for those wanting to visit the parks by themselves. She said she still enjoys child-free park days even after having a daughter almost two years ago.

I dont think theyre weird, she said to the Post. We all just think that Disney is made for everyone who wants to go there and have a magical time.

One final note: A Disney booklet from 1979 is advertising the perks of the parks for adults, saying 70% of our kids are adults.

This 40-year-old ad says Big kids make up the majority of our guests -- and enjoy the Magic Kingdom just as much (if not more!) than any youngster.

Theyre just jealous the childless couples have way more fun. Ive gone with my husband and we hit every single ride because we used their fast pass app and easily walked around the park and skipped the lines and all the parents with their screaming kids.

I dont understand parents who bring babies and small toddlers. Theyre too young to remember or appreciate the experience and theyre stuck all day lugging them around while they cry and scream.

I have no interest in going to Disney World, but parents who take their small children to nice restaurants (which is something this woman most likely does) are a much bigger problem.

people living in their own little bubble annoy me to no end, as if the world only exist to satisfy their whims at the expense of everyone else. it makes sense if you're actually special like a celebrity or something.

i remember a time in disneyland there was a short snack line but a slow-ass family of maybe 4 took a literal age to order their snacks. i ended up leaving because i would probably have found another stand on my way to the next ride/event and gotten my snack in time, long line or not.

I mean, thats pretty much exactly what I told my brother when he carted his one year old off to Disney World. Its so much hassle and stress for something the kid wont remember.

I agree but only sort of

I don't care if you go there and don't have kids with you. But, the one time I took my niece and nephew there a bunch of late 20/early 30 year olds were walking around by themselves swearing up a storm and making raunchy jokes.

Those people can fuck off. Don't go to a place designed for kids and act like that.

Parents who look miserable with their children, are miserable parents. Some people should not procreate. Not everyone is adapt at raising children. And witnessing that at Disney (or any amusement park) is more annoying than the childless millennials going to Disney.

Disney gives a select number of fast passes to each guest. I believe when I went I got three fast passes. They only give away so many fast passes per ride per day so you may have to book fast passes days or weeks in advance for the super popular attractions. So you need to be strategic when using them. Basically, don't waste one of your fast passes on a ride that rarely gets above a 20 minute wait.

This, we also went to Universal the last two years (3 days at Disney and 2 at Universal both visits) and definitely prefer Universal. Next time we're probably just doing one day at Disney to check out the new Star Wars area and doing Universal for the rest of the trip.

This. But once you use up the 3 fast passes, you can sign up for another one. You can keep doing them one at a time. We just grabbed whatever was available. We only had to wait in lines twice doing that. It required walking back and forth all day but it was totally worth it.

It's becoming rather odd. I had a coworker practically lose her shit at me because I said I wanted to get a vesectomy now at 32 because I don't want kids ever.

I've been criticized for not wanting kids quite a few times actually. Almost always by women too. Most men don't seem to give a shit, even the proud dads.

I'm a parent and I'll tell you straight up a lot of it is jealousy. I find myself envying people who don't have kids to take care of. Life would be so much easier. On the other hand, I know some people as they get older (mostly women) who regret not having kids and actually are somewhat desperate to have them. When things are hard with the kids, I have to remind myself that it'll be worth it

That being said, there are a lot of trashy adults w/o kids at Disney. I literally had one adult try to step over my 2 yr old coz he was trying to move ahead of us smh

Yeah we rarely go for the same reason. Spending a bunch of money to stand all day is such a waste. Thats why I liked that DW has their fast passes and an app that makes it easy.

My husbands company sent everyone and a guest to universal studios a couple of months ago. I convinced him to upgrade our regular tickets to their express one. Since the company paid the ticket, it was only $50 each out of pocket for the upgrade. He argued with me at first but after he saw how we cut all the lines and got the best seats to every show, he was grateful lol

But theyre way too expensive to pay full price for.
